BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — A family fun tradition continues this year in Bedford County after a year-long hiatus due to COVID-19, the Bedford County Fair.
Monday July 26th admission is $5 for Family Day and free for any Military Personnel or Veterans with a proper ID. The fun kicks off at the Bedford County Fairgrounds at 9 am and goes until 11 pm with a lot to checkout from rides to 4-H members showcasing their animals, a petting zoo, chainsaw artists and more.

Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities in State College say a local resident is behind bars after intentionally driving through a busy intersection and causing a multi-vehicle crash on South Atherton Street Tuesday morning.
According to the criminal affidavit, first responders were dispatched to the intersection of South Allen and South Atherton Streets, just after 10 a.m., for a report of a multi-vehicle crash.
Police say, according to witnesses, a blue Mazda CX-5 was seen driving along South Atherton Street in the wrong direction.

Over in D6, it was State College emerging victorious in a clash with Altoona in the 6A semifinal 17-0.
Glendale captured its first ICC softball championship in school history, rallying from a 5-4 deficit in the 7th inning for a walk-off 6-5 win over Everett.
On the baseball diamond, Mount Union captured the ICC championship over Southern Huntingdon.

BREEZEWOOD, Pa. (WJAC) — Officials with the Pennsylvania Turnpike said part of the roadway will be closed Saturday night into Sunday morning.
They said the eastbound lanes will close at 11 p.m. Saturday until 6 a.m. Sunday between the New Stanton and Breezewood exits.
The lanes are being closed so crews can safely finish placing steel beams for the new North Center Avenue bridge near mile marker 110 in Somerset County, according to officials.

The leading northern edge of the winter storm entered south-central Pennsylvania Friday afternoon. For example, snow began falling at 3 o'clock in the Johnstown area.
Severe Weather Team 6 meteorologists said the forecast snow totals from Thursday did not change much in Friday's models.
Winter storm warnings remained in effect for Cambria, Blair, Huntingdon, Bedford and Somerset Counties through Saturday.
Meteorologists said towns like Johnstown and Altoona are still projected to get 6-inches of snow.

The annual car show has been a staple in Bellefonte and the wider region for 33 years, now.
Organizers told us this year's two-day event drew in about 15,000 to 20,000 car-lovers, to admire and gawk at a range of cars.
Over 300 classic, antique cars filled up the streets of downtown Bellefonte this year, which meant lots of competition this Father's Day weekend.

This makes her the first openly transgender four-star officer in the Uniformed Services and the first female four-star admiral.
