Blair Co., PA (WJAC) — Sheetz announced Thursday that it is lowering the price of its Unleaded 88 gas to $2.99 per gallon for the remainder of the month of August.
Officials say Unleaded 88 has been approved by the EPA to be used in all cars, trucks and SUVs that were made in 2001 or newer.
Experts say that Unleaded 88 "burns cleaner" and makes it more environmentally friendly.

Wounded Scranton Detective released from hospital
SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — Detective Gilmartin of the Scranton Police Department was transported from Geisinger in Scranton to a rehabilitation center in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Crews battle overnight fire at Johnstown metal supplier
JOHNSTOWN, Pa (WJAC) — According to Cambria County dispatchers, several crews battled an overnight fire at a Johnstown metal supplier.
Officials say the fire broke out around 11:30 p.m. Friday at the North American Hoganas building, located at 101 Bridge Street.
Johnstown Fire Chief Bob Statler says the fire occurred inside the building.
Crews from Johnstown, Richland, West Hills, Greensburg and Latrobe were all on scene to assist.
No injuries have been reported.

Logan Valley Mall reopens with modified hours
ALTOONA, Pa (WJAC) — The Logan Valley Mall in Altoona has reopened for business.
Mall officials say several stores resumed service on Friday.
New mall hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Officials also added that the children's play area will remain closed.

Man charged with homicide in slaying of McKeesport police officer
MCKEESPORT, Pa. (AP) — A man is facing homicide and other charges in the shooting and killing of one police officer, and the wounding of a second officer after they responded to a domestic disturbance call in western Pennsylvania.
Johnathan Jermia Morris — 31, of McKeesport — is charged in Allegheny County with criminal homicide, aggravated assault and attempted murder, and assault of a law enforcement officer in the shooting Monday afternoon in McKeesport, about 12 miles (20 kilometers) south of Pittsburgh.

Undocumented immigrant to stand trial in murder of Michigan girlfriend
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — An undocumented immigrant accused of murdering his girlfriend and leaving her body along US-131 will be going to trial. Wednesday, a judge found enough evidence to send Brandon Ortiz-Vite, a 25-year-old citizen of Mexico, to trial on charges of felony murder, open murder, carjacking, carrying a concealed weapon and felony firearm. Delta Airlines to suspend service at University Park Airport
