Pittsburgh (WJAC) — Veteran outfielder and fan favorite Andrew McCutchen is reportedly returning to the Pittsburgh Pirates for the 2024 season.
According to Pirates' beat writer Jason Mackey, McCutchen is planning to return to the Bucs on a one-year, $5 million deal.
The 37-year-old former MVP signed a one-year deal with Pittsburgh last season after spending time with San Francisco, the Yankees, Philadelphia and Milwaukee.
His future was left uncertain last season after partially tearing his Achilles in September.
McCutchen, affectionately nicknamed 'Cutch,' appeared in 112 games last season for the Pirates and is one homerun shy of 300 for his entire career.
