Cleveland Browns' Myles Garrett delivers toys to Northern Cambria family displaced by fire

Cleveland Browns Defensive End Myles Garrett made a stop in Steelers country Tuesday to visit a family who lost everything in a Northern Cambria fire last month.

The fire broke out April 3 near the corner of Philadelphia Ave. and Cottonwood Street, displacing two families.

One of those families was the Abrams family who had just welcomed a new baby.

The father of the family, Tommy Abrams, says he’s a huge Cleveland Browns fan and Garrett reached out to him on Twitter after hearing about his family’s loss.

Abrams said Garrett showed up at his door Tuesday and even brought toys for his kids and nieces.

“To have this happen personally, like Myles or any player of that sort, to come all the way to Northern Cambria in the middle of Steelers country here was amazing,” Abrams said.

Abrams said Garrett hung out at his home for about an hour just to talk.

He said he appreciates the visit but would also like to thank everyone in the community for their continued support.

“There was another family that was in the apartment next door to us and we want to continue to keep them in our prayers too,” Abrams said.
