BELLEFONTE, Pa. (WJAC) — The Bellefonte Cruise kicked off — and into high gear — Friday night, wrapping up on Saturday.
The annual car show has been a staple in Bellefonte and the wider region for 33 years, now.
Organizers told us this year's two-day event drew in about 15,000 to 20,000 car-lovers, to admire and gawk at a range of cars.
Over 300 classic, antique cars filled up the streets of downtown Bellefonte this year, which meant lots of competition this Father's Day weekend. We asked one of the event organizers how this year's competition looked.
"It's tough. There's a lot of really nice cars here. They're just glistening in the sun," committee member Dion Furfaro told 6 News. "And, we get cars here that are extremely high-dollar cars that you wouldn't expect at your everyday, average show."
"I was actually here when I was a little kid, about two, three years old," he added. "We had my stroller entered in here, in the kids' class, and, yeah, it's just been a huge event here. I've come here almost every year in my life and love enjoying it."
